7 Wonders of the week.

1. My first week back to work was good. My students missed me and their parents did as well. It only took me 20 minutes to say goodbye. Every day it takes a little less time. I am down to 15 minutes, I am making progress!
2. Kinsley had a great first week at her sitters, she had great report cards every day! This was her sleeping before we went to school and work for the day.

3. Kevin is loving driving his new truck, it looks so huge in our driveway.
4. Spring has sprung and the flowers and trees are so beautiful right now.
5. Kinsley keeps trying to eat her toes. You can see her looking at them and wanting to bend down and play with them. It is one of the cutest things ever!
6. We went to Cyfest yesterday, it was very fun. We walked around looking at different booths. There was a rescue dog booth there, Kev wanted to take a medium sized dog home. We did not get a dog- not a good idea with a newborn, a cat and no one home all day long. I did find a booth that had cute bows and letters for Kinsley, I will be ordering a ton of them.
7. Kinsley has now started taking her baths in the big girl tub instead of in the sink. I moved all her bath things upstairs to her bathroom. She loved being in the big tub. We are also talking about making the big switch from bassinet to crib. I am not ready for it yet, too many big changes going on right now to move her out of our room.
She has her bathrobe on so she wont get cold!
Loving her big girl tub and her big yellow duck.

Home from her first day, all tired out.

7 Wonders of the week.

1. This past week Kinsley turned 2 months old
2. Kinsley had a fantastic doctors visit. she now weighs 11.6 lbs. She is in the 67% for her weight. Dr. Carter said she was such a good baby during her doctors visit, she even let the intern look in her ears, listen to her heart and her breathing.
3. Bug had to get her 2 month shots, she had a ton, they combined them into 3 shots, 2 in one leg and 1 in the other and one was in  liquid form for her mouth. Poor baby cried and so did mommy. Good thing daddy was able to go with us!
4. We are now true Texans, Kevin traded in his G6 for a GMC truck. We have now traded in two cars in the last two months. I now drive a Mitsubishi Outlander, it's  a lot safer than the Tucson.
5. Our yard is coming along wonderfully, we have cute lime green Adirondack chairs out front, pruned shrubs and brick work. I will post pictures when it is all completed.
6. I have started running again. I sure did miss the warm weather and the feel of pavement. I thought it was going to be painful because of my C-section, but to my surprise I could not tell the difference.
7. Today is my last day of maternity leave. I am so sad that I have to go back to work tomorrow and leave Kinsley with her sitter. I am already crying just thinking about it. I know tomorrow will be a very hard day.

7 Wonders of the week.

1. We decided instead of going somewhere for spring break the responsible homeowner thing to do would be to start working on our back yard. Now the big question is to sod or not to sod?
2. We made several big purchases at Home Depot and Lowes, one being a lawn mower. This means we can finally mow our front lawn.
3. We went to our first Livestock show at the rodeo as a family, aunt Emma also came with us! We saw tons of cows, horses, pigs, baby animals and rodeo wear. NOTE TO SELF- Never wear flip flops to a live stock show! Def. a rookie move!
4. The house next door to us sold to a family who will have a little girl in June. I am happy Kinsley will have someone to play with next door.
5. Kinsley turns 2 months old on Friday, where has the last 2 months gone? My baby is growing so fast :(
6. We are working on completing Kinsley's room over spring break. The colors and theme have now switched. I am not sure when she will make the big move from the bassinet to her big girl crib. I don't think she is ready yet. ( more like mommy is not ready yet)
7. This is my last week of maternity leave. I am ready to return to work, but not ready to leave Kins all day with the sitter.
Kinsley has discovered her hands. She keeps putting her little fists in her mouth, I think we have a thumb sucker on our hands.

7 Wonders of the week.

1. Kinsley loves her new play mat, she loves to watch the lights move.
2. Mommy is slowly feeling like her self again. Kins is sleeping for 5 hours at a time during the night!
3. Bug started to "talk" and smile. She smiles a lot more at daddy than at mommy.
4. The weather has finally allowed us to get outside for long walks during the day.
5. Kinsley loves her Snuggi. Mom loves having both her hands back!
6. Spring break is right around the corner. It's a toss up between Dallas or San Antonio
7. Aunt Emma comes tonight for a couple of days!!
